Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Janitor
to join our team in Saline, MI
. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility that supports our fast-paced operations.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Janitor
, your core responsibilities will include:
- General Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and keeping restrooms, break rooms, and common areas tidy to ensure a clean work environment.
- Waste Management: Removing trash, recycling, and keeping disposal areas clean and orderly.
- Detail Work: Cleaning windows, dusting surfaces, and occasionally using industrial cleaning equipment for deeper cleaning needs.
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain cleaning supplies, follow all safety and facility policies, and communicate with supervisors as needed to ensure all areas are properly maintained.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience required (industrial setting a plus)
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ensures all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to company standards.
- Dependability: Consistently reports on schedule and completes assigned cleaning duties with minimal supervision.
- Safety Awareness: Follows all facility safety rules, including Plastechs’ strict no cell phone and no photo/video policy, to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
