Job Summary
Are you detail-oriented and interested in working in a lab environment focused on quality and precision? We’re seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team in the Quality Department. In this role, you’ll maintain lab operations, ensure accurate analysis of aluminum materials, and support compliance with customer specifications and safety protocols.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Laboratory Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
● Spectrometer Calibration: Control and map spectrometer calibration and global calibrations for drift.
● Sample Management: Maintain and organize sample inventory.
● Material Handling: Identify, store, and ship analyzed material buttons appropriately.
● Documentation: Record and file analysis data for suppliers, customers, and managers.
● Quality Assurance: Pre-approve chemistries, ensure compliance with customer specs, and certify analyses.
● Product Evaluation: Monitor visual and chemical product quality and approve or reject materials based on analysis.
● Procurement: Order lab parts, services, and tools for personnel and equipment.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma required
● Communication, administration, and analysis skills
● Good attendance and work record
● Experience with spectrometers, machining, or metallurgy preferred (especially aluminum)

● Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
Most work will be performed in an office or lab setting. You may occasionally be exposed to open flames, moving machinery, outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, dust, smoke, or loud noise.
