Job Summary
Candidates will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and modify metal materials.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring tools.
- Optimize machine settings and adjust parameters for efficient production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document production and quality data as required.
Key Qualifications
- 1+ year Laser operation experience
- Knowledge of machine mechanics and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming is an advantage
- Experience in metal fabrication
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
