Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and maturity in taking responsibility for the role.
Skills:
- Ability to learn and correctly use measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges).
- Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry.
- Ability to inspect raw materials, commodities, and processes accurately.
- Flexibility to work across all three shifts and cover multiple locations within New Boston, Livonia, Romulus, Detroit, Highland Park, Brownstown
The Lead Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections on raw materials and parts, auditing production practices and processes, and reporting non-conformances. They will complete required documentation, perform data entry of inspection results, segregate non-conforming materials, and may be required to identify causes of non-conformance. This position requires flexibility to cover multiple sites and shifts as needed. Due to the added responsibility, this role offers higher pay than a standard inspector.
