Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Sparta. The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production equipment while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to each machine.
Responsibilities
- Safety Compliance: Wear required safety gear (hairnets, beard nets, eye protection) at all times in production areas
- Machine Operation: Operate and adjust equipment according to machine-specific SOPs and production order needs
- Glue Level Monitoring: Check glue levels at the start of each shift and before every break
- Paper Quality Inspection: Monitor paper for contaminants and proper folding throughout production
- Machine Malfunction Reporting: Report issues such as oil leaks or malfunctions immediately to supervisors or maintenance; shut down machines as needed
- Product Labeling and Dating: Ensure proper labeling and date marking of products per company standards

- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Strong concentration and multitasking ability
- Able to lift 25 pounds repetitively
- Able to stand for 8–10 hours per day
