We’re seeking a Machine Operator to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping us manufacture high quality metal building products that support construction projects across the country.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Setting up and operating roll forming equipment to ensure accurate, consistent production.
- Quality Inspection: Using measurement tools to verify product dimensions and maintain high quality standards.
- Troubleshooting & Adjustments: Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to maintain smooth, efficient operation.
In addition, you will also be expected to
perform
routine maintenance, keep your work area clean, and follow all safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operation
- Understanding and utilizing precision measurement tools
- Interpreting and following work instructions, schematics, or blueprints
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience in manufacturing or machine operation for a minimum of 2 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Ensures products meet exact specifications and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Helps identify and resolve machine or production issues quickly.
- Mechanical Skills: Ability to work with tools, read measurements, and understand machine functions.
