Responsibilities:
  • Inspect arbor and overarm setups to ensure compliance with production instructions
  • Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
  • Review and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface condition and ensure compliance with production instructions
  • Run coils at maximum speed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Operate the multi-blanking machine to slit-to-wide and cut-to-length based on customer specifications
Skills:
  • Ability to read and follow all work order instructions and complete documentation
  • Knowledge of current crane and forklift operation preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, Rockwell tester, digital calipers, digital/dial indicators, height gauge, computer, part specific gauges, and micrometers
 
As a Machine Operator your main responsibility is to set up and operate the machine according to customer specifications and work orders. Your detail, safety, and attentiveness are critical to regular equipment inspection and the ability to measure dimensions, align parts and produce material according to production instructions.  This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment process. The temperature of the facility will vary based on the outside weather conditions.
