Machine Operator / TIG Welder
Location: Holland, MI Shift: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | Monday–Friday Pay: $21.00–$22.00/hour
Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and have experience operating metal fabrication equipment? We're seeking a Machine Operator / TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll primarily operate a press brake or hydraulic bending machine to bend and form materials. You'll also perform TIG welding on aluminum a few times per month as production needs require.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating fabrication equipment and has the TIG welding skills needed to produce quality aluminum welds.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator / TIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
Machine Operation: Operate a press brake or hydraulic bending machine to bend and form materials.
Equipment Setup: Prepare and adjust equipment as needed for assigned production work.
TIG Welding: Perform TIG welding on aluminum a few times per month based on production needs.
Product Quality: Inspect completed work to ensure parts meet established quality requirements.
Production Support: Complete assigned machine operation and welding tasks to help maintain production flow.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following established safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Experience operating a press brake, hydraulic bending machine, or similar fabrication equipment.
TIG welding experience.
Ability to TIG weld aluminum.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with manufacturing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
Skills
Press Brake / Bending Equipment: Ability to operate equipment used to bend and form materials.
TIG Welding: Ability to perform TIG welding on aluminum as needed.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with fabrication machinery and equipment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify basic production or equipment issues and respond appropriately.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other production team members.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to safe machine operation and welding practices.
