Responsibilities:
- Primarily perform disassembly and basic assembly of industrial machine components, including bearings, work rolls, backup bearings, and levelers.
- Follow precise instructions, blueprints, and build sheets to complete repetitive mechanical tasks to company standards.
- Use hand and power tools to disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble components.
- Maintain a steady work pace to meet hourly output expectations.
- Support production goals by contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly/disassembly or similar industrial roles.
- Comfortable working with repetitive tasks in a hands-on, dirty, and oily setting.
- Ability to follow directions closely and complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and basic measuring tools is preferred.
- Previous work in a heavy industrial or steel environment is a plus.
- Welding or fabrication skills are a bonus, not required.
As a Machine Tool Builder (Assembler), your focus will be on repetitive tasks involving industrial parts—not custom builds. You’ll be building hundreds of bearings at a time and must be comfortable working in a traditional steel environment that is very dirty, oily, and hands-on. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in consistent, high-quality work.
