Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced
Maintenance Mechanic
to support plant operations by maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery and equipment. This role will work from layouts, diagrams, and detailed instructions while adhering to all IATF 16949 requirements. This is a
2nd shift, contract-to-hire
opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a
Maintenance Mechanic
, you will:
- Disassemble, repair, and adjust large and complex machinery.
- Replace worn or broken parts, scrape and fit moving parts, and adjust clutches.
- Reassemble machinery and operate equipment for tryouts.
- Assist with installing, leveling, and setting up new machinery and equipment.
- Anchor and level existing machinery following relocation.
- Install steel structures needed for overhead-suspended equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on belts, monorail systems, hoists, and related equipment.
- Start up general plant equipment when directed.
- Perform miscellaneous maintenance mechanic duties as assigned.
- Participate in inventory activities as needed.
- Respond to facility emergencies as an emergency responder.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervision.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Maintenance certification or journeyman card required (PLC training is a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working from diagrams, layouts, and detailed instructions.
- Ability to use scales, levels, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Blueprint reading required.
- Welding ability and some electrical experience required.
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to lift, move, and work with industrial machinery and tools.
- Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

- 2nd Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
