Maintenance Technician
Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $28.00–$35.00 per hour
Job Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, facilities, and electrical systems to keep production running smoothly and safely.
What You'll Be Doing
- Machine Maintenance: Dismantle, repair, and reinstall defective machines and equipment.
- Electrical Work: Install and repair electrical systems, including transformers, wiring, and control components.
- Automation Support: Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery such as robots, using basic PLC programming knowledge.
- Inspection & Troubleshooting: Listen for irregular equipment sounds, visually inspect, and test machinery to identify issues.
- Mechanical Repairs: Maintain industrial pumps, conveyors, and physical structures of the facility.
- Fabrication: Operate lathes, grinders, drills, milling machines, and welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts, jigs, and fixtures.
- Documentation & Standards: Follow NFPA 79 (NEC) wiring standards and company best practices.
- Safety & Compliance: Support company safety, quality, and housekeeping policies; follow OSHA and BMES standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in improvement activities and maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Team Support: Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor and assist across shifts as needed.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Hilo and Crane Licenses
- 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred
- Basic understanding of IATF16949, ISO9001:2015, and ISO-14001 procedures
Skills:
- Ability to read and understand basic technical documents and schematics
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and interpret graphs)
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities
- Basic Microsoft Office and QMS database knowledge
- Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting aptitude
- Ability to lift, climb, and work in physically demanding environments
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused work ethic
