Maintenance Technician

 Location:  Clinton Twp, M I Shift:  2nd    Pay:  Up to $28/hr

Job Summary:
  Are you a skilled  Maintenance Technician  looking to advance your career in a clean, state-of-the-art facility? A plastic mold shop serving the Medical and Automotive Industries in Clinton Township, MI is seeking an experienced technician to join their team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing:
 As a  Maintenance Technician,  your responsibilities will include:

  • Preventative & Corrective Maintenance:  Perform maintenance on injection molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
     
  • Troubleshooting:  Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
     
  • Machine Support:  Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production calls to minimize downtime.
     
  • Performance Monitoring:  Adjust and monitor equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
     
  • Documentation:  Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and part usage.
     
  • Collaboration:  Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve machine reliability and uptime.
     
  • Installation & Upgrades:  Assist in installing and upgrading equipment as needed.
     
  • Auxiliary Equipment Maintenance:  Maintain dryers, loaders, temperature control units, and cooling systems.
     
  • Safety:  Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company procedures.
     
What We're Looking For:
 To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required (technical or trade school training preferred)
     
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an injection molding or industrial environment
     
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
     
  • Experience with injection molding equipment (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Husky) preferred
     
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
     
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
     
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
     
  • Flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed
