Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Kentwood, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to keep all industrial machinery and equipment in optimal functioning condition to ensure quality production.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Installing and repairing industrial machinery: Including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components.
- Performing preventative maintenance: To ensure all machines are in functioning condition and producing quality parts.
- Troubleshooting and replacing damaged parts: Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, electrical components, switches, motors, conveyors, roto finishing equipment, and gearboxes.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform occasional repairs and improvements of the facility, identify and maintain an inventory of stockroom replacement parts vital to production uptime, perform basic welding operations, confirm all machines meet OSHA requirements, perform basic electrical tasks throughout the shop/property, aid production and overall business needs by fabrication of new parts, perform repairs on building and property, maintain a high level of organization, and perform basic cleaning tasks. Installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as saws, CNC, conveyors, and programmable controllers (if licensed to do so) will also be a responsibility.

Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, speak English and interpret documents, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Skills:
- Ability to follow manuals: To perform maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications: As necessary for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook: For communication and scheduling.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools: For various maintenance and repair tasks.
