Location:  Howell, MI  Shift:  3rd  Pay:  Up to $33/hr 

Job Summary

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for an opportunity to join a global leader in manufacturing? We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Maintenance Technician  to join our team in  Howell, MI. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our production running smoothly by performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on CNC machines and other critical equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a  Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment:  Diagnose and repair CNC machines, robotic automation cells, and other manufacturing machinery to ensure continuous, high-quality production. 
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:  Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery and plant equipment to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Electrical & Mechanical Work:  Read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and electrical components, and repair mechanical parts such as motors, drives, pumps, gearboxes, and spindles.
In addition, you will assist with PLC programming or repair as needed and support other facility maintenance tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in robotics, mechanical, or electrical technology preferred but not required
  • 2–3 years’ experience in machining maintenance preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, crouching, climbing, and repetitive manual movements
  • Overhead crane or aerial lift experience a plus
Skills:
  • Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude:  Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, including CNC equipment, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
  • Attention to Detail:  Ensures all work is performed accurately and adheres to safety and quality standards.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration:  Works with production teams to develop solutions to machinery issues and continuous improvement projects.
