Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install of production and packaging line equipment and machinery, as well as perform preventative maintenance projects, according to a set schedule and in emergency and non emergency situations, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process.
Responsibilities
- Check work orders, prioritize maintenance requests, troubleshoot repairs, prepare a plan and coordinate with co-workers / supervisors a schedule to complete the work in a timely manner.
- Replace, repair, adjust, install and modify electrical, mechanical or hydraulic, pneumatic equipment, tools and machinery as needed.
- Read work orders, blueprints, drawings and plans, perform installations, fabrications, weld, cut, grind, perform other machining tasks and maintain the maintenance log book as required.
- Inspect work and work area, perform clean-up using proper tools and equipment and according to approved methods and procedures.
- Assist with monitoring /maintenance of energy sources and air compressors.
- Provide direction for preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot, problem-solve, organize, follow-up, and upgrade, while complying with OSHA, EPA, and all other regulatory agencies as required.
- Perform other maintenance duties, special projects and other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.
- At the end of shift, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and clean-up as required.
Key Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
- Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
- Must complete Forklift, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection and Chemical Training and obtain certification as required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
