Maintenance Technician
to help keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. This role offers a variety of maintenance responsibilities, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding-related repairs in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Maintenance Technician
, your core responsibilities will include:
Preventative Maintenance & Equipment Repair
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, physical structures, lift trucks, cranes, piping systems, and electrical systems with minimal supervision.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform on-site repairs to minimize downtime.
Fabrication & Installation
Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to fabricate replacement parts, machine guards, repair conveyors, replace motors and pumps, maintain fluid handling systems, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
Documentation & Compliance
Document preventative maintenance activities, repair work performed, and equipment issues to support maintenance records and operational efficiency.
In addition, you will assist with facility maintenance projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Previous experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read measuring instruments including tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
Skills
- Mechanical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Welding & Fabrication: Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Electrical & Plumbing Knowledge: Understanding of industrial electrical and plumbing systems.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately document maintenance activities and identify potential equipment concerns.
- Dependability: Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
