Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Technician Lead 

Location: Elkhart, IN
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime possible, including Saturdays)
Pay: $21.00 – $30.00+ per hour, based on experience and skill level, plus $60 weekly attendance bonus 

Job Summary 

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping ensure all production machinery and facility systems run efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. 

What You'll Be Doing 

As a Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include: 

Maintaining and repairing equipment: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, welders, air compressors, hydraulic systems, and other production equipment to ensure optimal performance. 

Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems: Read and interpret ladder logic, electrical schematics, and blueprints to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. 

Supporting facility operations: Complete building repairs, coordinate maintenance activities, and assist with managing parts, supplies, and outside resources. 

In addition, you will also be expected to complete documentation, assist with organizing maintenance operations, support janitorial and cleanup efforts, and collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. 

What We're Looking For 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following: 

Qualifications: 

  • - 2–5 years of maintenance experience for Technician level; 5–8+ years for Lead level  

  • - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical repairs  

  • - Experience with CNC/PLC systems and production machinery  

  • - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and use measuring tools  

  • - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift  

Skills: 

Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment using schematics, multimeters, and testing equipment. 

Preventative Maintenance: Strong understanding of maintaining machinery to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. 

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-moving production environment.
