Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician/Material Handler
to join our team at a locally owned, family-oriented company in Muskegon, MI. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping production running smoothly by performing maintenance, repairs, and material handling duties with precision and efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Technician/Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment: Perform routine and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Inventory and parts management: Order spare parts and maintain an accurate spare parts inventory.
- Equipment installation: Assist in the setup and installation of new machinery and systems.
- Material handling: Operate a forklift to move materials and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to meet company goals and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Maintenance Technician
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous forklift operation experience
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic maintenance principles
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues efficiently
- Team-oriented mindset and commitment to workplace safety
