1st Shift - Maintenance Supervisor $25-$35/hr - Grand Rapids, MI

Preferred Qualifications:
- Observes equipment for unusual sounds and/or visual indications to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance personnel to diagnose problems and repair machines
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as motors, starters, and wiring, as well as electrical and electronic components
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the building
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
- Starts equipment after service to test for proper operation
- Diagnoses causes of breakdown and suggests modifications to improve operation
- Makes additional repairs to systems if unexpected problems are observed during service
- Able to safely and effectively operate a Fork Truck
- Candidates must have Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or any combination of education and experience equal to twelve months.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Dependable and predictable attendance
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist and lift as needed
In this role you will be responsible for
training and approving activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plant.
