Job Summary
Maintenance Tech is responsible to assist in the daily customer required products produced on their
respective shift. This responsibility includes training (operators, safety, and quality) and assisting to ensure daily
operation of machinery and equipment to achieve production requirements. Maintenance Tech. is responsible for
troubleshooting the equipment, understanding and supporting preventative maintenance procedures and methods.
Must keep injection mold equipment and support equipment running. Order and maintain an inventory of critical
components.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
-Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
-Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance.
-ix or repair any machine support equipment and perform maintenance or anything asked to fix within the realm
of a technician’s ability.
-Identify and develop cost savings for maintenance dept.
-Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
-Contact supervisor when a need for prioritization arises.

Job-Specific Qualifications
-Prior experience in manufacturing
-Plastic injection molding maintenance background with knowledge of injection molding machines.
-High school diploma with work experience acceptable
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-May be exposed to fiberglass plastic product.

-Safety awareness – must put employee welfare above everything.
-Understand the basic fundamentals of operating machinery in a safe manner.
-Working knowledge of all MiOSHA safety requirements that pertain to the manufacturing area -- safety glasses,
hi/lo lift truck operation, steel-toed shoes – where applicable.
-Participate in all pertinent safety training as required -- Lockout/Tagout, Right to Know, Bloodborne Pathogen,
Confined Space, etc.
-May be required to obtain a Hi/Lo license. Must be eligible to receive training and pass testing for hi/lo, forklift
license, etc. if necessary.
Misc.
-May be required to attend educational classes and/or training to keep skills/knowledge/performance up-to-date
as required.
-Plastic injection molding experience and knowledge helpful, but not necessary.
