Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This role performs preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
We fabricate foam materials for commercial furniture, mobile homes, marine, recreational vehicles, and other manufacturing industries. Hours: 5:00 AM start time M-F.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment
● Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance
● Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
● Maintain and execute preventive maintenance schedules
● Prioritize repairs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
● Coordinate repairs with production and leadership teams
● Track maintenance history, costs, and equipment performance
● Manage maintenance parts, tools, and vendor relationships
● Support safety initiatives and enforce OSHA standards
● Perform other duties as assigned Creative Problem Solving & Equipment Solutions
● Diagnose complex mechanical issues on aging or non-standard equipment
● Develop safe, effective repair solutions when OEM parts are unavailable
● Modify or retrofit components to keep equipment operational
● Balance cost, safety, and long-term reliability
Qualifications
● 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
● Manufacturing or industrial maintenance background
● Experience with preventive and reactive maintenance
● Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and PPE Skills
● Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude
● Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
● Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
