General Laborer - Manufacturing (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Manufacturing Facility Position Type: Temporary with Opportunity for Permanent Hire Openings: 4 Positions Available Start Date: Immediate/Open ASAP
Position Overview
Our client is a growing, family-owned bolt manufacturing company seeking motivated General Laborers to join their production team. This is a hands-on manufacturing role that may involve machine operation, assembly, shipping and receiving, packaging, cleaning, and other production support duties as assigned.
Employees demonstrating mechanical aptitude may be trained to operate manufacturing equipment and production machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow with a stable company that values hard work, reliability, and teamwork.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate manufacturing machinery after training
Assemble anchor bolt products by installing nuts and washers
Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment
Perform shipping and receiving duties
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
Support production operations as needed
Follow safety procedures and quality standards
Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Meet daily production goals and schedules
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Must provide two forms of identification verifying authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (THC excluded)
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to read and understand measurements such as 1/2", 3/4", 1 3/4", etc.
Strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Honest, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating manufacturing equipment
Ability to read measuring devices and inspection tools
Previous warehouse, assembly, or production experience
Hi-Lo (forklift) experience
Overhead crane experience
Forklift and crane experience are helpful but not required. Training opportunities may be available.
Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Stand for extended periods
Bend, kneel, twist, pull, and reach throughout shift
Work safely in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
Navigate uneven shop surfaces and production areas
Work Environment
This position is located in a hot, dirty, heavy-production manufacturing facility. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, requiring employees to stay engaged and productive throughout their shift.
