Material Handler

Up to $21/hr
We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to safely move materials, and products throughout the facility and yard. This role combines driving a sit down forklift to move materials in and out of dock doors with material handling tasks inside the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure shipments are properly positioned, locked, and secure before loading/unloading.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report maintenance needs.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer moves, material transfers, and inventory as directed.
- Follow all safety procedures and comply with company policies and DOT regulations.
- Communicate with warehouse staff, shipping/receiving, and dispatch to coordinate trailer and material movement.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a sit down forklift driver preferred.
- Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions when moving materials.
