A local Muskegon company is seeking an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator
to join their growing team on 1st shift! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, operating a forklift, and keeping materials moving efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
Job Summary
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Material Handler / Forklift Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Organizing and managing the flow of materials within the shop
- Handling all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Ensuring materials are delivered to the correct departments in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate movement of inventory and materials
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of forklift operating experience
- Previous experience managing shop material flow
- Experience handling incoming and outgoing shipments
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions and quickly learn the production process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
