Workbox Staffing is hiring
Material Handlers
in Canton, MI to support warehouse and production operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is a combination of forklift operation and manual material handling, including building and stacking loads. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Material Handler, your core responsibilities
will include:
- Forklift Operation: Safely move products throughout the facility using an electric forklift.
- Manual Material Handling: Build and manually stack pallets and loads as part of daily warehouse operations.
- Production Support: Load and unload materials to support assembly line operations.
- Product Tracking: Scan products using RF hand scanners and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Quality & Labeling: Inspect products and apply labels to ensure proper identification before shipment.
- Equipment Checks: Perform daily forklift inspections and report any issues to supervision.
Additional
duties may include assisting with general warehouse tasks and
maintaining
a clean and organized work area.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience
- Experience using RF handheld scanners
- Ability to operate a clutch forklift
- Must pass the W.F. Whelan Material Handler Forklift Aptitude Test
- Must pass the STA Security Threat Assessment
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform manual labor including stacking and building loads
- Ability to lift and move materials throughout the shift
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
