Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, ensuring customer orders are accurately pulled, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to customer specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
- Locate required material type and size
- Package material per customer specifications
- Perform quality checks to ensure items have been pulled correctly
- Inspect and band parts to be shipped
- Ensure heat and tag numbers are correct
- Stage material in route-specific order
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with maintaining workflow efficiency and following all warehouse safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, training, and/or equivalent experience
- Certified to operate a crane, forklift, and side-loader
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow written instructions
Skills:
- Product Knowledge: Understand material types, sizes, and handling procedures.
- Measuring Skills: Ability to use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure correct tagging, packaging, and shipment preparation.
