Material Handler – Shipping
Location: Cedar Springs, MI Shift: 1st Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you looking for a hands-on opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're seeking a Material Handler – Shipping to join our team in Cedar Springs, MI. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout production areas while supporting shipping and receiving operations.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Material Handler – Shipping, your core responsibilities will include:
- Material Handling: Safely transport materials, supplies, and finished goods throughout production areas using Hilo forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and occasionally hand trucks.
- Order Picking & Staging: Pick and stage customer orders using handheld scanners to complete material transfers and locate production materials.
- Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload shipments, verify shipping details for accuracy, and receive and store materials and products as directed.
In addition, you will use computers and SAP to run basic reports and create shipping documents while maintaining accurate records and supporting an efficient production workflow.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous material handling, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift/Hilo and powered pallet jack experience preferred.
- Ability to safely move materials and finished products throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn SAP systems.
- Ability to use handheld scanners and follow shipping and inventory procedures.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying shipping information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
