Material Handler 1st shift $15.50/hr, Clare, MI

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- 1 year forklift experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
- Frequent use of hands that comes with the use of tools.
- Agility of the upper and lower body extremities with the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, or stoop.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds on occasion.
Skills:
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Utilizing the ERP system for all transactions.
- Assists with maintaining inventory levels for vertical storage units (VSU).
- Reports any unplanned issues to Team Leader.
- Pull together all non-floor stock components that are in the VSU for work orders, including printing any labels that are needed.
- Receives hardware into the VSU unit placement is in proper storeroom location and sequence, such as size, type, style, color, and product code.
- Confers with Team Leader or Crew Leader on work orders and job orders for the delivery of hardware and ensures it’s in proper sequence for the production associates.
- Assures an accurate inventory level by correctly back flushing work orders with the correct material quantities and part numbers.
- Utilizes fork truck, carts other approved methods to transport materials between departments.
- Perform cycle counts on products and materials.
As a Material Handler 1st shift $15.50/hr, not only will you be responsible for supporting production associates by managing inventory and utilizing an ERP system, but you’ll also be ensuring a safe and organized work environment, transporting materials, and performing cycle counts. This job, depending on your work ethic, could be a short-term or a long-term fit.
