Job Summary
 
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Kentwood, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to  maintain efficient logistical support for the movement, storage, and control of all raw materials, work in process, and finished products.
 
What You'll Be Doing
 
As a Warehouse Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Logistical Support and Material Control : Responsible for providing logistical support for the movement, storage, control, and protection of raw materials, supplies, work in process products, and finished products.
  • Inventory Management and Transaction : Transact inventory using the company’s ERP system, which includes moving inventory, components, W.I.P., and finished goods, and perform inventory control duties such as cycle counts.
  • Safe Material Movement : Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or Hilo to manage the flow of incoming/outgoing production, warehouse material, and finished goods, including keeping empty totes at the saws and pulling full totes away. In addition, you will also be expected to  participate in and support our company’s continuous improvement program and ensure the plant remains clean and organized.
What We're Looking For
 
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment (pallet jack, Hilo).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems for accurate inventory control and transactions.
  • Willingness to perform all other duties assigned by management.

    Skills:
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills : Essential for collaboration with team members, QC groups, and for communicating any storage space or materials issues to the Materials Manager.
  • A Proactive Work Ethic and Sense of Urgency : Important for working autonomously, monitoring storage space availability, and ensuring materials are moved promptly to keep production running smoothly.
  • An Eye for Detail : Necess
  • ary for performing accurate inventory control duties, supporting QC groups, and ensuring proper paperwork is with all full totes and finished goods.
