Mechanical Repair Technician, $18-$25/hr – 1st shift - Conklin MI

Preferred Qualifications:
● Cylinder/Valve/Pump Repair
● Evaluate, disassemble, repair, Re-Seal. Assemble and Test
● Clean & Recondition components
● Focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining a safe work environment, and improving equipment efficiency
● Equipment Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic failures in shop equipment. Replace worn or damaged components and test repaired machinery to verify functionality.
● Troubleshooting:Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime. Analyze machine performance issues and implement solutions.
● Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines when repairing and maintaining equipment. Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
● Recordkeeping:Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours. Update machine maintenance logs and report recurring issues to management.
● Support Operations: Collaborate with machine operators to identify issues and provide guidance on proper equipment usage. Assist with machine setups and adjustments when necessary.
● Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
● Work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, grease, and industrial chemicals
. ● You will be doing machine teardown, repair and assemble hydraulic cylinders and valves. Work in a job shop and field environment. Must be able to read blueprints & setups on engine lathe, Bridgeport milling machine & horizontal boring mill. Excellent benefits when hired in.
