Location: Taylor, MI Pay: $22.00–$27.00/hr

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Metallurgy Technician
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Sample Preparation & Testing: Perform hardness tests (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers) and metallurgical analysis on production samples.
- Data Recording & Analysis: Accurately collect, record, and interpret test results following written work instructions.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and calibrate testing instruments to ensure reliable results.
In addition, you will assist the heat-treat department, support production quality checks, and uphold lab safety and documentation standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Experience performing metallurgical or materials testing preferred.
- Knowledge of hardness testing methods (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers).
- Basic understanding of heat-treating processes and sample preparation.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for most of the shift.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance.
Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating hardness testing and metallurgical instruments.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret test results and follow work instructions accurately.
- Independence & Teamwork: Comfortable working independently on night shift while collaborating effectively with team members.
