Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a MIG Welder
for a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. This position involves preparing materials, assembling components using MIG welding, and maintaining equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates will have prior welding experience or formal training and be comfortable working in a physically demanding setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a MIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
- Material Preparation: Prepare metals and work surfaces for safe and effective assembly
- Welding & Assembly: Perform MIG welding to assemble components and run wire through parts as needed
- Quality & Inspection: Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet specifications
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and inspect welding tools and equipment
- General Shop Support: Assist with additional production tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous MIG welding experience or certification from a welding program
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Comfortable working in hot summer and cold winter conditions
- Reliable and able to follow directions
Shift & Employment Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime: May be required
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Environment: Industrial setting; hot in summer and cold in winter
- Dress Code: Jeans and shirt
- PPE Requirements: Must bring your own welding helmet/shield, gloves, and jacket; steel-toe boots required
