Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping repair steel containers and trailers while ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.
What You'll Be Doing
As a MIG Welder / Fabricator, your core responsibilities will include:
● MIG Welding Setup & Execution : Use fixtures to set up component parts and perform manual MIG welding to produce strong, accurate welds.
● Quality Inspection : Examine workpieces and verify weld quality using precision tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and squares.
● Tool & Equipment Operation : Utilize hand tools and power tools (grinders, drills, sanders, torches) to support fabrication and finishing processes.
● MIG Welding Setup & Execution : Use fixtures to set up component parts and perform manual MIG welding to produce strong, accurate welds.
● Quality Inspection : Examine workpieces and verify weld quality using precision tools such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and squares.
● Tool & Equipment Operation : Utilize hand tools and power tools (grinders, drills, sanders, torches) to support fabrication and finishing processes.
In addition, you will also be expected to analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
● Prior MIG welding and fabrication experience required
● Proven longevity in previous positions, demonstrating reliability and commitment
● Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
● Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Skills:
● Blueprint Reading : Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings to ensure proper assembly and weld quality.
● Mechanical Aptitude : Strong understanding of tools and equipment used in welding and fabrication processes.
● Attention to Detail : Ensures precision in measurements and adherence to safety and quality standards.
