MIG Welders
to join our team in
Comstock Park, MI.
In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to
produce high quality fabricated products
to
our customer
s in a variety of projects.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
MIG Welder
, your core responsibilities will include:
- MIG weld steel components according to blueprints and specifications
- Set up and adjust welding machines, wire feed, and gas flow
- Fit, tack, and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and defects
- Monitor welding equipment usage and replace consumables
In addition, you will also be expected to
follow all safety procedures as directed and ensure that the
work space
is clean and free of any safety hazards.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Previous MIG Welding experience of 1 or more years
- Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
- Physical maneuvering of 50+ lbs at a time throughout an 8-hour shift
Skills:
-
Material Preparation (cutting, grinding, beveling. Cleaning)
- Familiarity with specific welding procedures
- Basic mathematics and measurement skills (tape measurer, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
