MIG Welder, $20 per hour - Holland, MI

Qualifications:
- Reads, follows, and understands work order instructions including CAD drawings, blue prints, and/or rough sketches
- Understands and performs MIG welding using a variety of stock shapes, sizes, and thicknesses
- Welds in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
- Selects proper flow rate, amperage, and wire feed rate to ensure appropriate weld penetration and appearance
- Maintains welding equipment – changes liners, drive rollers, etc.
- Documents work performed, as required
- Operates forklift, hoist, or pallet truck to lift or transport heavy loads
- Maintains a clean work area with daily clean up and organization, as instructed
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend work order instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write short correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read a tape measure and determine values in comparison to blueprint or work instruction
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and talk and hear
- The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
