Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a 1st shift Quality Technician to join our team in LeRoy, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to maintain the highest product quality and ensure adherence to all required specifications and standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
1st shift Office/Floor
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Product Inspection and Auditing : Ensure required product inspections and part audits are performed and accurately recorded.
- Non-Conformance Management : Follow and enforce the procedure for control of non-conforming (n/c) product in the event of quality issues.
- Product Release Approval : Oversee first piece/last piece sign-offs and provide final sign-off and approval to release product to the customer on your assigned shift.
In addition, you will also be expected to participate in the part PPAP process and new product launch processes to meet special customer or regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (college degree in engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain management preferred).
- Previous QA experience is preferred, especially with molded rubber or plastic parts.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, as a small amount of travel to customer facilities may be required.
Skills:
- Self-Motivation : The ability to work independently and be self-motivated to manage daily quality checks and work efficiently on your own.
- Technical Inspection : Minimum basic measurement and inspection equipment experience is preferred to accurately determine product conformance and perform required calibrations.
- Record Maintenance : Proficiency in Microsoft Office to maintain records as required by the Quality Management System (QMS).
