Operator & Inventory Specialist, $23/hour - Zeeland, MI

- Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with fabricated parts, shipping & receiving, inventory, and part bins preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16” required
- Hi-lo (forklift) experience preferred but not required
- Reliable, dependable, and respectful in a workplace environment
Skills:
- Experience operating machines such as Brake Press, Band Saw, or Shear
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and keeping steel stocked for welders
- Ability to create and send inventory reports to management
- Team player willing to support welders and reduce bottlenecks in production
- Basic math and measuring skills for accuracy in part prep and fabrication support
As an Operator & Inventory Specialist, not only will you run shop equipment to prepare and produce steel parts, but you’ll also be responsible for keeping inventory levels stocked, communicating needs with management, and ensuring welders always have what they need to stay productive. Depending on business needs, duties may also include assisting with shipping/receiving, organizing part bins, and supporting fabrication. This job, depending on your work ethic, could be a short-term or a long-term fit.
