Job Summary
We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Pack Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting and packaging thermoformed parts to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Pack Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting Products: Inspect thermoformed parts to ensure they meet quality specifications and company standards.
- Packaging Finished Products: Pack products according to work instructions and customer requirements while maintaining proper case sequence.
- Labeling and Processing Orders: Apply case labels, process skid and hold tags, and print work orders and labels as needed.
- Supporting Production: Verify materials for disposal or regrind and remove recycling materials from the production floor.
- Maintaining Inventory Records: Perform Oracle transactions and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Supporting Quality Initiatives: Participate in layered audits and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
In addition, you will assist with other production and packaging duties as assigned to support daily manufacturing operations.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a vision test, including corrected visual acuity of at least 20/40, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Basic math, computer, and mechanical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work independently.
Skills
- Quality Inspection: Ability to inspect products and identify defects before packaging.
- Packaging: Experience packaging products while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Computer Skills: Ability to complete Oracle transactions and maintain accurate production records.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to follow production procedures.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate labeling and documentation.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with production and quality teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
- Ability to pass required visual acuity, peripheral vision, and depth perception testing.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
