Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking Packers
to join our team in Montague, MI. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our operations, helping ensure customer orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Packer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Order Picking: Accurately pulling customer orders using an RF scanner, paper picklist, and inventory system to ensure the correct items are selected.
- Order Packing: Packaging products securely while organizing packing materials and verifying quantities to maintain shipment accuracy.
- Label & Document Printing: Generating and applying license plate labels, packing slips, and customer paperwork using picking and packing software.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with loading and organizing shipments, operate power industrial trucks or a hand truck when needed, verify finished packages against order records, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while meeting quality and productivity standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed
- Availability to work overtime as required
Skills:
- Hand-eye coordination: Essential for accurately selecting, packing, and labeling items without errors
- Basic math skills: Needed for verifying counts, measurements, and order accuracy
- Instruction-driven work style: Important for following written picklists, packing steps, and safety standards
