Looking for work located in the heart of Muskegon? Look no further! This local company is seeking a 1st shift Machine Operator! 1st shift runs Monday-Thursday (with overtime on Fridays) 5:00am-3:00pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a variety of hand and power tools, including but not limited to power drills, orbital sanders, saws,
utility knives & scrapers. - Must be comfortable working with computers, including ERP databases (Epicor).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. - Strong attention to detail and quality is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Interpret information on the daily ship list and take direction from the Value Stream Lead who will prioritize the schedule throughout
the day as needed. - Uses a variety of hand and power tools as needed, including but not limited to power drills, orbital sanders, saws, utility knives
& scrapers, in a safe and efficient manner. - Safely and efficiently handles transportation of product, reports any handling issues.
- Must be comfortable working around wood dust, paint & paint fumes, & glues and adhesives. Masks and respirators are
provided, but not required.
Packing workers will be responsible for the safe and efficient packaging of world-class wood, veneer, and laminate furniture. As the last team members to touch the product before it reaches the customer, packers must focus on careful handling practices and robust packaging techniques.
