Paint Room Technician Location: Ann Arbor, MI Shift: 2nd Shift Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Summary Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Paint Room Technician to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping ensure protective helmets meet the highest standards for quality, durability, safety, and appearance. What You'll Be Doing As a Paint Room Technician, your core responsibilities will include: Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and inspect helmet components to ensure surfaces are ready for a high-quality finish. Painting & Finishing: Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications and apply consistent finishes using spray-painting equipment. Quality Inspection: Monitor paint thickness, color matching, and finish quality while identifying and correcting defects to maintain product standards. In addition, you will also be expected to maintain paint booths and equipment, track material usage, complete production documentation, and follow established production schedules and safety procedures. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in industrial painting, manufacturing, automotive painting, powder coating, or a related finishing environment preferred. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work comfortably in a manufacturing setting. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety documents, and production specifications. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Skills: Attention to Detail: Essential for maintaining consistent paint quality and identifying product defects. Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate spray-paint systems, paint booths, and related tools.
