Job Summary

Painter/Assembler
to join our team in
Clare, MI
. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to
ensure our products are finished to the highest quality standard through expert painting and assembly.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Painter/Assembler
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Product Painting: Applying required mills of paint to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, including preparing surfaces by removing rust and imperfections.
- Assembly: Completing basic assembly of products (such as Z-legs, logos, and sticker placement) and assisting a Senior Assembler with more complex products.
- Quality and Safety: Placing product on the paint line with correct spacing to enhance the electrostatic process, examining finished surfaces to verify conformance, and adhering to all company safety regulations.
In addition, you will also be expected to
contribute to a clean and safe workspace by performing weekly department maintenance (vacuuming and wiping down equipment).
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape.
- Ability to measure and mix paint as required by the work order.
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for preparing surfaces correctly, properly placing products on the paint line, and thoroughly examining finished surfaces to verify conformance to specifications.
- Teamwork and Communication: Needed to read work orders, receive direction from the Team Leader/Crew Leader, and communicate any issues regarding safety, quality, or production.
- Physical Stamina: Required to be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, reach, crouch, or kneel, and be capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
