Muskegon, MI, 1st Shift, $19.00 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a dependable and detail-oriented individual with painting experience? A Muskegon manufacturer is seeking a Painter to join their team. In this role, you'll prepare surfaces and apply wet coat paint to manufactured products while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare parts and surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, and completing other required preparation.
- Mix and apply wet coat paint according to job specifications.
- Operate spray-painting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished products for proper coverage, color, and overall quality.
- Complete touch-ups and correct minor paint defects as needed.
- Clean and maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules while working effectively with the team.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
Qualifications:
- Previous wet coat painting or industrial painting experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow paint specifications and written instructions.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and spray-painting techniques.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
