Pay:  $26.44-$28.85/hour (Based on Experience) 


Job Summary
Are you a detail-oriented professional who thrives on accuracy and deadlines? We’re seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN.  In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our operations, helping ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting accounting, benefits, and compliance efforts across multiple business entities.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Payroll Administrator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Processing weekly payroll for four locations: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for three businesses, including wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Payroll compliance and reporting: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while preparing payroll reports, tax forms, journal entries, and earnings statements.
  • Timekeeping and record management: Work with supervisors to confirm approved time records, maintain employee payroll data, PTO accruals, and pay history.
In addition, you will also be expected to support benefit invoice reviews, 401(k) reporting, audits, and assist the accounting and HR teams as needed.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or the equivalent of four (4) years of payroll processing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices
  • Basic understanding of general accounting principles
  • Ability to learn Paycor and Attendance on Demand software within the first 30 days
  • Previous AP/AR experience is required
  • Experience in the billing component of various group insurance policies and be able to do benefit reconciliations
  •  
Skills:
  • Microsoft Office & Excel proficiency: Essential for payroll reporting, reconciliation, and data accuracy
  • Attention to detail and time management: Critical for meeting payroll deadlines and maintaining compliance
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Needed to resolve payroll discrepancies and support audits
