Job Summary
Are you a dependable and detail-oriented individual looking for a hands-on warehouse opportunity? We’re seeking a Picker-Packer to join our team in Norton Shores, MI. In this role, you’ll help ensure customer orders are picked accurately, packed securely, and prepared for shipment in a timely manner.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Picker-Packer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using picking lists or handheld devices.
- Pack products securely according to shipping and quality standards.
- Inspect products for accuracy, defects, or damage before packing.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock.
- Help load and unload shipments as needed.
- Safely use material-handling equipment as required.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
In addition, you will work closely with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse team members to keep daily operations running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, picking, packing, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Forklift certification is a plus, or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stay organized and follow established procedures.
