Plant Manager, Pay based on experience $/hr-Elkhart, IN
We are seeking a highly skilled and people-oriented Plant Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding, robotic welding systems, powder coat painting, and shipping/receiving. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of ISO Quality programs and light assembly processes.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to stand or sit the entire shift
- Proven experience in plant or operations management in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Effective leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Skills:
- Manage and supervise all plant operations, including fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and shipping.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools.
- Oversee robotic and manual welding (MIG & TIG), and steel tube fabrication processes.
- Coordinate powder coat painting operations to meet quality and production standards.
- Lead and enforce ISO quality procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise the shipping and receiving department to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Foster a safe, productive, and positive work environment.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Mentor and motivate team members to improve productivity and morale.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve production issues.
