Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Powder Coat Painter, your core responsibilities will include:
- Preparation & Painting: Powder coat parts per customer's specifications and assess welded surfaces prior to coating.
- Compliance: Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Must wear a respirator on a frequent basis while painting.
- Quality Control: Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product is meeting required specifications.
- Documentation & Tools: Understand job orders and interact with Epicor, complete and maintain all required paperwork (production reports, scrap reports, etc.), and maintain and operate hand tools.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Past Powder Coating or Paint experience (One year)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Two years)
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components for errors prior to powder coating
- Must wear a respirator while painting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required
Skills:
- Able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
- Perform simple mathematics for process sheets and accounting for materials.
- High school diploma required, and technical secondary education is preferred.
