Job Summary
The Press Production Associate operates machinery in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. This role involves loading and unloading stampings, inspecting parts, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. A great opportunity for growth in a temp-to-hire position with a respected manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload automotive stampings from production lines
- Inspect, tag, and track parts; complete required documentation
- Maintain compliance with TS16949 standards and safety regulations
- Support equipment changeovers and train new employees
- Accurately complete SAP transactions (labeling, scanning, transfers)
- Ensure quality while racking, sorting, repacking, or verifying products
- Participate in cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
- Represent company core values and maintain professionalism at all times
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience in a press shop and machine operation
- Physically able to lift 50–60 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and across different areas of the press shop
Preferred Skills
- SAP or inventory system familiarity
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, metric)
- Ability to interpret graphs and technical documents
- Team leadership or training experience a plus
