Job Summary
As a Press Production Associate, you’ll operate equipment to produce automotive stampings while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a stable and supportive company, offering great benefits and long-term potential.
Responsibilities
- Operate press equipment to produce quality parts
- Load/unload parts from production lines
- Tag, label, and track parts accurately
- Follow all plant safety rules and TS16949 standards
- Inspect, rack, sort, repack, and verify product quality
- Complete equipment changeovers and help train new team members
- Utilize SAP for transactions such as labeling, scanning, and transfers
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Adhere to company values and maintain a professional work ethic
- Follow all operational procedures and quality/environmental programs
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Previous press shop experience and ability to operate various press lines
- Able to stand for 8+ hours and lift 50–60 lbs regularly
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow safety rules and instructions
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, metric system)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated equipment or mechanical robotics
- Comfortable working near machinery, in loud environments, and with airborne particles
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Familiar with 5S practices, safety protocols, and continuous improvement strategies
