Job Summary

Maintenance Helper
to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll support the maintenance department by assisting with preventive maintenance activities, maintaining production equipment, and helping keep the facility and grounds in excellent condition. This is a great opportunity for someone with maintenance experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Maintenance Helper
, your core responsibilities will include:
●
Preventive Maintenance Support:
Assist journeymen maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance activities to help ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency.
●
Equipment & Facility Upkeep:
Oil and grease equipment, clean and paint machinery, and perform general maintenance tasks to keep equipment and work areas in top condition.
●
Facility & Grounds Maintenance:
Support the upkeep of the facility, including general painting duties, groundskeeping, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
In addition, you will also be expected to complete required paperwork and documentation, participate in improvement initiatives, and assist with other maintenance-related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalent.
● Previous preventive maintenance experience preferred.
● Valid Forklift License.
● Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
● Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and electrical systems.

Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Communication & Teamwork:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams.

Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic understanding of equipment maintenance, lubrication, and facility upkeep.

Attention to Detail:
Ability to complete maintenance tasks accurately and maintain proper documentation.
●
Instruction Following:
Ability to understand and carry out written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
